Since it’s founding in 1970, Microref has been a respected presence in the technology training landscape. Today, it’s wholly dedicated to the promotion, implementation, and utilization of speech recognition technology with special emphasis on Dragon for medical practices. Microref has been recognized by Dragon’s publisher, Nuance, as a Premier Partner since 1998.

Howard Parks, Principal and Founder of Microref, has a passion for technology and a strong belief in it’s power to change the way we live and work — for the better. From the earliest days, he realized that learning to use it could be a challenge for many. Since founding Microref in 1970, his goal has been to help any business employ advanced technologies to improve their productivity and ultimately their business.

Howard has been associated with computer user training from the days of word processing. Starting in 1979, many of the pioneers in the field hired Howard and his staff, to create nationally used training programs for their customers. Some of those companies included giants like Honeywell, IBM, NCR, Exxon and Burroughs.
